MEEGA NA LA QUEESTA!!!!!

Of course, if you've heard those words once,  you'd know exactly who they came from, and when.  If you don't remember, I'll clue you in.  Remember the cute little blue alien in the Disney movie, Lilo and Stitch?  Well Stitch says "Meega Na La Queesta" to the Council and is immediately thrown off  the planet and sent to Earth.  I fell in love with Stitch during that movie and have waited for years to make one of my own.

Here's my little Stitch I just finished crocheting using a pattern I got off of Ravelry.com.  It's from Sweet 'n Cute Creations, by a woman named Shannen Nicole.  Thank you Shannen!

Stitch playing with (who else?) Stitch!

You can see why I love him so much!  He's adorable, and actually turns out to be a really great little guy.

  2. He really is adorable, Kay! One question, though: what does "meega na la queesta" mean? :-)

    1. They don't say in the movie, but when he says it everyone gasps and some people even faint or throw up, so I'm guessing it's not very nice. I'm surprised Momma Cat can get away with saying it on the blog! :-)

    2. Well Maureen, that IS a good question. When I first looked it up someone said it meant " I don't know what Earth is, but I spit on it". But that really didn't seem right, so I tried looking it up again. Another translation is that he's saying "I will destroy." Which makes a lot more sense in the context of the movie. All of us Cats always thought he was just saying some horrible swear words! But really it doesn't matter, because the reaction he gets from the council is so funny, and he is truly evil at this point. But, don't worry. There is redemption!
