NEW 100% COTTON KNITS FROM DOODLES

Today Momma Cat discovered a bunch of new 100% cotton knits at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts!  They are from ajuvenline apparel fabric line called "Doodles".  There were at least  20 or 30 new fabrics at the store where Momma was.  She took pictures of a few of them to give you some idea.

Momma's favorite! (duh)
Who wouldn't love these sweet little birds!
Swimming sea creatures!
For all you lizard lovers!
There ain't nobody don't like no dinosaurs!
Who ever heard of owls dressed as cowboys!
Pretty little cherry blossoms!

Fun Motor Scooters to get around on!

Too bad Momma Cat doesn't have enough room to show you all the new fabrics! Doodles has a lot of other fabrics in their line that aren't new, but are very cute too!

All of the Doodles fabrics are 100% cotton, and even though they're in the juvenile apparel fabric section, Big Cats can wear them too!!!  They are perfect for making children's clothing, but are great for those that are still young at heart!  The fabrics are soft, and they're a very nice quality.

Momma Cat thinks you should go to JoAnn and check them out. You won't regret it!!!

NEW CHARMS, HAIR PINS, AND BROOCHES

While Momma Cat was working yesterday she came upon a new line of charms, etc. in JoAnn Fabric and Crafts jewelry section.  They are very cute, and this is just a smattering of them.  There are so many more things to choose from, you really have to go and take a look for yourself!

This first one is a little brooch.  Momma Cat thought that it would look lovely in one of her doll's hair.  But, it is the type of pin that you could wear on anything.  Isn't it just sweet?

See how tiny it is?  It's the shape of a bow, and it's got little rhinestones in it!  So pretty!

This next picture is of a pair of hairpins with little bees on them.  Momma Cat has never seen blue bees before.  Nevertheless, she really liked them, and thought she could cut them down and use them on one of her dolls too.

This next item is just a lovely little branch-like pin with some little pearls in it.  Momma thought it would also make a nice hair ornament for one of her dolls.

Momma thinks this last item is the prettiest one!  It's a hairpin that looks like a peacock feather!  It's so lovely she may have to keep it for herself!!!

There are so many other charms, pendants, tassels, pins, and hairpins at JoAnn's that it's really hard to resist them!  Momma Cat had to stop at four for now.  But, as Scarlet O'Hara always said, "Tomorrow is another day".

Since jewelry and hair items for dolls are so hard to find, unless you're into plastic, these seemed like a great find!  But, if you're not into dolls, guess what, they're work for all of us big girls too! 😺

SEWING ROOM DRAGONS!!

Some time last year Momma Cat found the most adorable little stuffed dragon at, where else, JoAnn Fabrics and Craft Stores.  She bought one for Baby Cat too.

A while later, the store started carrying the very small ones, so she bought one each for her and Baby Cat.

Yesterday, she found a much bigger one, and she brought one home.  Now she has three of them!  She calls them her Sewing Room Dragons.

TY Beanie Boos.  The smallest one has a clip, so you can attach it to your bag.

These dragons prefer Momma's sewing room.  Notice their soulful purple eyes!

Sewing Room Dragons hang out in your sewing room.  They make you smile and they keep your spirits up, even on gloomy, dark winter days! Sometimes you have to chase them off of your sewing table, or in this case, your ironing board.  But, they are completely harmless, and totally loyal.  However, they will spit fire at your foes, if necessary!!

Momma Cat loves their big purple eyes!  These dragons also are available in pink with green eyes!  So, if you don't have at least one Sewing Room Dragon, you need to get one soon!

Momma Cat thinks they would look cute suspended from the ceiling, but hasn't come up with a viable plan on how to do that!  Any suggestions???

NEW SEWING TABLE FOR MOMMA CAT!

It finally came!  Momma Cat's new sewing table finally arrived yesterday afternoon!  Momma has been waiting for weeks because of all the bad weather here and all over the country, but it's finally here!

Don't think of that as a complaint!  Momma knows that trucks and drivers were stranded all across the country due to really lousy ice and snow conditions.  Momma is very grateful that they were finally able to get through it all!  Poor drivers!  Thanks to all you drivers out there!  Where would we all be without you?

After Momma Cat came home from work last night, Daddy Cat took the table out of the box and set it up in Momma's sewing room for her.  Here it is with Momma's new serger on top of it.  Isn't it cute?

Momma's New Sewing Table with her Brother 1034D on top!
Momma bought this cute little table from the JoAnn.com website.  It's made by Arrow Cabinets, and it's called a "Gidget 1".  It's an adorable name for a little table that is sturdy and folds up, so that you can store it when it's not in use.  Or, in Momma's case, when Baby Cat and her husband come to visit and Momma turns the sewing room back into a bedroom!  Portable is nice!  It also has an adjustment in the table, so that you can raise and lower a portion of the table top, so that you can put a standard sewing machine in it, and adjust it to just the right height!

Little by little the sewing room is coming together!  It's always nice to have furniture and tools that are designed to make your crafting more delightful!!  Now let's see what Momma makes!

READY FOR A MIDNIGHT CAT???

Not a midnight snack!  A Midnight Cat! This particular cat was inspired by my love of black cats, but most importantly my current cat, Midna (so named by Baby Brother Cat).

Anyway, it's been so much fun making cats from the Bernat Pipsqueak yarn, I wanted to make one in black.  Alas, Bernat Pipsquak does not come in black! So I had to find a substitute.  I chose this black yarn called Beautiful by Purl Essence, which I got at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts.  It's not quite the same weight as the Pipsqueak, and it's a little fuzzier, so my cat came out smaller and looking quite differently than her predecessors.  But, she's adorable and I love the way she turned out!

Here's Midnight in all her glory with a sparkly red ribbon, so you can see her at night!  She's got her paw on my iPod, so I think she may be going to listen to some tunes!

Midnight in the daylight

Now. you know how hard it is to photograph black cats.  Midnight was no exception.  She looks a little freaked out in this photo, but I think it was because the camera flash might've frightened her a little bit.
